Christy F. Jacob is a widely experienced counselor, leadership coach, and speaker with over twenty five years of experience in the field. Fueled by a commitment to help people find fulfillment in life and their relationships, as well as to reach their potential, she is at her best when engaged in the personal interaction of a counseling or coaching relationship. It is her heart for serving God and helping people that defines her approach in assisting others develop healthier, happier relationships and overcome life's struggles. With her faith, sense of humor, genuineness, and open style of communication Christy conveys her positive outlook on life and her passion for helping others in every session.
Her experience as a therapist includes both inpatient and outpatient settings and in treating a full spectrum of populations. Her primary focus is on adults and she specializes in marital and family therapy. However, she is also an experienced children's play therapist and sees clients of all ages. Christy has also distinguished herself as a consummate professional and leader among corporate professionals while working as a professional speaker and consultant. In the corporate world, she has worked extensively in the area of personal wellness, leadership, and interpersonal relationship development and is known as an enthusiastic leader of seminars and an engaging speaker.
Christy holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Sociology and Psychology and a Masters of Science degree in Clinical Psychology with postgraduate work in Counseling Psychology and Psychometry. Her professional credentials include: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Professional Counselor Counseling Supervisor (LPC-S), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Board Certified Coach (BCC) with specialty designations in Executive/Corporate/Leadership/Business Coaching and Personal/Life Coaching and is trained in EMDR and Constructed Awareness.
She is a veteran of numerous Executive Committees and Directorial Boards, has served as chairman of personnel committee and counseling/prayer director at her church and is highly active in local and international missions and in her community. She has also written curriculum for a wide range of topical seminars and articles.
