Life can get complicated, so my mission is to create a safe place for you to be authentic in your journey of self-awareness and self-discovery. We are all created for connection with self (congruency), God (align values with God), and others. At times we get disconnected and I have a desire to help you reconnect. I am passionate about working with clients who have needs such as depression, anxiety, trauma-related issues, stress, grief, self-esteem, relationship issues, and premarital/marital counseling.
I attended Harding University where I earned a Master of Science (MS) and an Educational Specialist (EdS) degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
I have a diverse approach to therapy and use the following: Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Interventions, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Gottman Method, Person-Centered Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. I am trained to use Brainspotting Therapy to help clients heal from trauma, and remove the limitations left behind by trauma.
My husband and I have been married for 30 years, have two grown children, and Monty- our dog who thinks he is a human. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy hiking, biking, traveling, and reading.
Brainspotting is a psychotherapy method that promotes mental health, trauma healing, and psychological wellness.
